My bestfriend's boyfriend and my boyfriend are good friends and recently my bestfriend and her man have been going through some rough patches and my boyfriend has said this is due to my bestfriend being high maintenance.

I'm curious what exactly makes a girl high maintenance..? and is being low/no maintenance better? or just as bad?

i think this really depends on the guys definition of what is 'high maintenance'. I always think of a girl who is always asking for money for shopping and beauty stuff, and who demands things constantly, whether it's sex or just demanding the guy do all the cleaning, or that he fixes the dripping tap.

My boyfriend reckons i have my moments of high maintenance, when i say i'd like to go out for a meal, or go out for the day, or that he drives me around and picks me up. I dont insist he pays for that stuff, i always offer, but he usually does pay.

But i never nag him, as i'd hate that. I think i'm on a middle ground. Well i hope i am!

My definition of a high maintenance girl is:

• A girl who changes her clothes more than twice a day (not including pajamas)
• Someone who refuses to go out without make-up or if they look bad.
• A girl who always asks people to do things for them (whether it's a small thing or a big thing)

Those are just some things that come to mind (I got them from thinking about my high maintenance friend ahah)
