One of my brothers took me out for dinner with his wife and newborn recently and they asked me a question about how serious me and mine are. I said "serious" and my bro turned to me with elation and then asked "so are you getting married?" which was about the last thing I expected from him. So I said no and that's where my interweb version ends. So, what makes it SERIOUS to you?

to me it just means we've been through some shit and aren't looking elsewhere. Some relatives of mine seem to have a different understanding....

to me, serious pretty much means you're exclusive.

you can be serious without ever thinking about marriage i think.

i've been getting the same thing from my married friends for two and a half years, especially ones that are a bit older. it's like because they've gotten married, they expect you to jump right on the bandwagon too.
