has anyone ever dated someone who literally looked exactly like someone else? Or dated someone who has an ex that looks a lot like them?

I'm currently getting very positive signals from someone who really is the spit image of someone I had a serious (unrequited) crush on a couple of years back, and it's weirding me out a bit.

I once dated a guy who was still friends with his ex. She and I are spitting images of each other and had similar ways of dressing. His new girlfriend has dyed her hair my color and is gradually dressing more and more like me. I guess she thinks she needs to line up with his type more. Whatever.

I'm meeting the Rebecca guy for the first time tomorrow, so we'll see.

I once read that is natural to look for physical features smiliar to your own. This has been true for me more than once, especially with TLOFL who had the same complexion, same hair colour, similar eyes, even his nose looked like mine. But he also looked like my dad. Which weirded me out more than my narcissistic wet dreams.

I'm aware that a lot of people I'm attracted look like my dad, but then, as you say, I look like my dad. So it makes sense.

I went ahead and nobbed the dude and it was pretty rad. Hopefully it'll carry on being pretty rad.

Weird, I nearly started this thread a couple of weeks ago. Except I was going to call it "I only went with her 'cos she looks like you", and it took me ages to work out what this title referred to.

I don't think I've actually been out with two people like that, but I've had a couple of weird situations. When I first came here I had a brief thing with a girl who looked like someone else I'd been hung up on years ago. It didn't go anywhere, and I didn't realise at the time, but it's sort of spooky. Yet I sort of felt like I slayed a demon from my past or something.

On the other hand, I keep seeing this girl when I go back to Birmingham who looks so much like someone I was going out with two years ago I had to keep doing double-takes before I spoke to her (doesn't help that I've bumped into her friends in the same place). The relationship ended messily and I'd only seen her once awkwardly since, so seeing this new looky-likey around is like she's haunting me.
