my long term boyfriend, now my ex, was a 'real' model he did print, did runway in the us and italy, did campaigns. (no he's not a big name but his friends were) he got to hang out w victoria secret models, the brazilians to be specific, he used to hang out w/ bridget hall, his friends of the female type were so fucking hot i'd consider screwing them and i'm a straight female. Bottom line i know how it can eat you up inside but the reality is its all your fucking issue if you think that the outside is a clear indication of what a person is like inside YOUR the one who needs to do some figuring out. In a way its bragging rights 'look at how hot (in his opinion) my new girl/boy is' and there is Nothing wrong with that. if you have an issue with it stop talking to him. i get what the "rational" people are saying here, and that's cool if you can be totally indifferent to what your ex is up to, but i certainly understand the need to size up an ex's new girl/boyfriend. i recently found the myspace of my ex's chick he's seeing, and it was really shocking, not (just) because i personally find her unattractive, but that she is not the type of girl he is typically attracted to, physically or, from what i can tell from her profile/blog, in terms of personality. eh. i try not to let it eat at me, cause that's no fun. it's more fun to have a big crush on someone else and forget all about it.

If it bothers you, then don't go to his myspace, don't look at her modelling shots on myspace or elsewhere, and change the subject of the conversation when he brings it up.
