Don't really know if this is the right place to put this, but this is where you get the best advice I guess.

OK: so basically - there is a girl at my school. We used to be "friends" (more like, had so many mutual ones, we ended up hanging out), and i always thought she was a bit weird, like, always pretending to know all about every band, film or book I was talking about, even when you knew that she had never heard about it.
After loads of drama with my friends, I sort of switched social circles, so I didn't really talk with her much.
But then this whole thing started.
She is obviously copying me. The way I wear my hair. All my clothes. The music I listen to. It sounds very whiny and immature to even care about this stuff - but it just gets annoying when you wear something, and the next day she is wearing the EXACT same outfit.
And it isn't like she'll tell me that she just likes my style, or that I inspire her or anything, she badmouths me ALL the time.
Lots of people are telling me that she is such a wannabe.

But anyways, this whole thing didn't bother me too much until I found her BLOG. She had accually not only used my old nick from my old blog, but also stolen lots of my titles, and accually copyandpasted paragraphs from my blog into her's, claiming that she had written them!
She had also posted several pictures of me.

I sent her an e-mail and told her that if she was going to use stuff I had written, it would be nice if she asked me first, and talked a bit about the style-thing.

She, of course, replied with something like: "yr a rip off of Julia, and blablablaaa", and now we have this huge argument.

My question is really: was telling her really bitchy, and mean?
I feel sort of bad...
But then again, I just find the whole thing so freaky, it feels good to have gotten it off my chest.

I dont know.

It was a bit bitchy to tell her, but when she's actually taking your pictures words and presenting them as her own, I'd say it's warranted.

I always think that copycats need to be led into something completely embarrassing in order for them to be publicly shamed, but it means you have to do it first.

that is QUITE fucked up. she obviously has major identity and self-esteem issues and totally needs counselling. i can't believe she'd be so blatant about it too. she's obviously wrong in the head.

I'd leave it alone. Anyone worth knowing what's going on here likely already does. By not saying jack shit and letting her look like the fool she is I think says a lot.

I had this same problem several years ago; it all ended when my friend she wanted to desparately be with "forever" left her a note saying he'd only date her if she stabbed out her ovaries in front of a busy pubic area. Instantly she quit trying to copy me.

Not saying this is the issue at hand, but seriously, people are going to see through this and you don't have to do a damn thing but continue being yourself.

My ex best friend used to do the same thing to me. She'd take photographs off my DeviantArt and put them on hers without crediting me, which really pissed me off. I never said anything and I still regret it, so no, I don't think you were being bitchy.

Why should you feel bad? Of course you should have said something to her.

She sounds like a complete psycho stalker. I think the best thing you could do right now is ignore her. Pretend she doesn't even exist. That is, as long as she doesn't do anything worse. But right now it sounds like you could just ignore it.

I have that problem too at the moment. Its exhausting and basically takes the piss but you just got to think it wont be forever that you have to be around her with me for example im moving away to uni and the course at college will be over in a few months so i wont have to see "That Thing" again ahhh she is obviously so boring and flat that she wants to be you becaue your unique and fun try be flattered. Think positive and dont let her beat you down

Sometimes when I see someone whearing something I like I'll say, "Where did you get that? FYI I'm going to go and buy that exact same thing." Obviously I'm not obligated to tell people when I go shopping, but otherwise they'll be weirded out.

Get a bald cap so it looks like you shaved your head, wear it one day so she sees, and then never wear it again so you'll still have all your hair when she fucks off to the barbershop to get her head shaved. That would be hilarious.

What a complete bitch. If you have mutual friends or acquaintances, I think you should tell one or two of them about it and have them talk to her for you and make her understand how weird and wrong it is to do something like that.
