im getting so annoyed by people who like, pay no attention to what anyone around them is doing.

like the other day i walked across fields in a polo shirt for 3 miles at half 8 in the morning to get to work on time and as i was walking in i saw one girl i know and i told her and she was like 'heh... got canny fuckn wrecked last night like!' YEAH SO INTERESTING DIFFERENT AND RELEVANT.

or someone i know who is supposed to be one of my best friends and just MOANS and MOANS and MOANS about everything he does, hints that he thinks me extremely unattractive and then ignores me if i try telling him anything.

or just you know, goes on and on about their shittty shiiiiityy life in general.

im fucking sick of them all and finding it difficult to maintain friendships with them argh, any advice haha?.

I don't really have advice.... I just want to offer my sympathies. I have a couple of friends like this, especially that "moaning" type. All he ever does is bitch about other people I'm friends with and constantly reiterate how he wants nothing to do with them and couldn't give a fuck about them. Then talks about his (frankly, boring) job for 7 hours.

Just say in a completely serious voice to the person, "I've got diarrhea and I have no idea what's causing it." I've done this a couple of times just to get rid of people with their bitching and pointless self-reflections. Works like a charm

I have a friend whose like that, and it pisses me off to no end. I'll be like talking to her and she'll get up and leave the room. Or she'll be talking about something someone has done for sooo long and not really want to talk about anything besides that or another topic she came up with. She does what she wants and bitches when things aren't her way. It's always been like that and I'm not sure I could do anything to make her change. So, I can't really help you any.

i feel your pain for this one - i used to have a friend who would moan about being fat (seriously, if you are fat, you don't go on about it!) and i'm pretty sure she just did it so that people would say, "awww, no you're not, you're skinny!" (because she really was skinny).

anyway that's the only time i've ever really minded someone moaning to me and that was because it was repetitive and retarded. other than that i quite enjoy it (not in a sadistic way). it's good to talk.

Poll threads and internets quizzes make more self-obsessed. They encourage me to think about what I think and feel. Gah!

Actually, I know a couple of people who can actually bring out in my head a wheedling little bitch voice that pleads (silently) "why don't you stop talking about yourself and ask me a question?! I have things to say too! Please tell me you want to hear them". I think people being self obsessed sometimes, somehow, makes me want them to be interested in me too, even if not as much as they are interested in themselves.

I know this girl who talks NON STOP about herself. She talks about things that have suppsedly happened to her and it's so obvious that if she's not exaggerating alot then she's flat out lying.

I find it funny to turn away and talk to someone else when she starts talking to me. She carries on repeating herself until someone listens to her.

anyway, this thought occurred to me too and basically i asked my friend about it (and this friend has a habit of telling me when i'm being shit so i knew i could trust) and she says im quite vain but actually listen to other people's stories and offer interesting and useful insight to what they have to say.
