There are some things that people do on dates that I think are utterly obnoxious, and I really wish I could educate the whole male sex about them so they wouldn't do them anymore. Here they are:

1. Walking ahead of me--
I think it is really rude and disrespectful when a guy walks ahead of me rather than beside me. Seriously, am I just supposed to follow you around like a dog?? Don't walk ahead of your date, walk WITH her.

2. Talking entirely about himself--
I'm an interesting person with alot of good stories and conversation to make. It is so ****ing rude and self-absorbed to talk entirely about yourself. You're supposed to ask questions about eachother when you're on date. I hate it when the the whole night's conversation is solely about him.

3. Touching me or making a move without reason--
I'm not uptight about being physically affectionate but it really ****es me off when a guy decides to get touchy-feely and I haven't given him any signals to do so. Just because you're on a date is not reason in itself to get touchy.

What are things you'd like the opposite (or same) sex to know about dating??

Don't make your first (physical) move when HIDEOUSLY drunk. Its not very flattering to the girl/boy concerned- I always wonder, am I only attractive to you cause you have beer googles on- and its not going to leave them with a good impression of your kissing/shagging skills.

my biggest pet peeves are:

1. When they have no idea how to act in a social situation/bad manners - table or otherwise..
rudeness in general really.
2. If it isn't going too well...making no effort to try and get rid of awkward silences! Even "so.. it's raining huh?" is better than us both just sitting there wondering when we can leave.

There's a bunch more..I'm not the most tolerant of people, you see
But it's late and stuff so..yeah.

well the first time i was out with my current boyfriend. i met him midway through a night out and at the end he asked me if i wanted 2 go to a mates flat to do some coke :/ hahaha.then once i said no he then went to ask if i wanted to go back to his to watch a dvd. This was a major turn off but strangly enough i ended up going to his the following weekend to watch a dvd, which was good.

so i guess my pet peeve is being really really drunk on the first date

OH MY GOD YES!!!!
One instance in particular sticks in my mind when this guy literally talked about himself all night, I was in shock at how conceited he was.
Non stop he was just like blah blah blah MY band, My looks, My childhood, My life etc. BELL END!
