what should i tell him. They don't want to use the family doctor for obvious reasons. And i can't get it for her because im 4 mo.s pregnant and i was under the impression that at the clinic they will test you for that.

Use the family doctor. Doctor patient confidentiality is such that if the doctor tells the family, it would make him lose his license, so I doubt he will say anything.

Don't go get birth control for someone else. It's a medication just like anything else and your friend's girlfriend might have a bad reaction to a pill that was prescribed for -you-.
Tell her to go to Planned Parenthood or something of the sort.

I had a similar thing where a male *accquaintance* of mine asked me to go to the doctor and ask for the morning after pill because he had been shagging this girl the previous night and the condom split and he didn't want to have to pay the £25 for it over the counter. I was like, tough shit cheap bastard.

Some pharmacies give it to you over the counter for free, he should have just phoned nhs direct to find the nearest participating pharmacy.

How daft. Every six months I go to get my birth control, I get my weight and blood pressure measured. I also always get asked about my experience with the pills, whether I've been spotting, whether I've missed any, my general health, whether I'm taking any other medication, when my last period occurred, etc. And (I think) every two years I go through a lengthy questionnaire about my health history as well as my family's. They do all of this for a reason. It seems stupid for your friend to 1. take birth control without all of that monitoring and with no medical record of it, and 2. have someone else go through all of that on her behalf and for you to have all of that sitting on your own medical record.

Anyway, doctor confidentiality exists and the guy's gf should have no problem obtaining her own birth control legitimately without risk of her parents knowing. If she is genuinely worried about her family doctor (though she ought not to be), surely there are family planning clinics she could go to?

I don't believe they test you for pregnancy when you first show up so if you're not showing a bump then there's no reason that you couldn't do this for your friend, but logic says you really shouldn't do it.

She can just go to a health clinic [or Planned Parenthood like everyone else has been saying]. The health clinic gives them out for free. The only problem with using the health clinic is that they only have one type of birth control so if it doesn't work for her then she is screwed I imagine.

I'd have to agree with the fact that this chick is a huge pussy and should do this on her own. It is her body and if she doesn't want to get knocked up she's the one who should take that responsibility.

Like most people said, it's for your mate's girlfriend to get the pill. It's her responsibility, not your's.
