Say you'd done something sexual with another person because at the time you were very wasted and they were not. You did it because you loved them but almost certainly wouldn't have done it had you been sober and you'd left it in the past and as something that happened...and then months later found out that said other person had told all his friends about it and they'd known for ages what would you do? My friend's brother (who has just moved back to the area) was in the pub with us all last night and he said to me "oh you're the girl who did lalala with 'insert other person's name here"...so then three of said person's friends go..oh, yeah we knew about that said person told us about it. I just feel so cheap really....I'd like to just deny it but what's the point?, how can I even?

Well I discovered from a friend whilst I was travelling the world, that a boy from my school- who was HIDEOUS- was telling everyone he met that I had been his first serious girlfriend, he had lost his virginity to me and that we had dated for 6 months. We never did ANYTHING of that nature, EVER. EVER. EVER. I have no idea how many people he told that story to, but I am TRAUMATISED to this day by it.

This happened to me recently.

Nothing sexual happened but I didn't want ANYONE to know I was meeting up with an ex (to confess my undying love ) who treated me badly so I made him swear not to tell, but you know he told his friends.
I also know he made up sexual things to impress cause that's what he does . .

I'm very silly so I thought our mutal friend (WHOM I HAVE BEEN FRIENDS WITH FOR 15 YEARS & HE HAS BEEN FRIENDS WITH FOR A FEW MONTHS) would be loyal & tell me the truth. No. Of course not.

I had a friend tell some friends in our inner circle that we had had sex which, of course, NEVER happened. I was really angry about it but there wasn't much I could do. Even if I confronted him about it he would just deny it anyway.

I was so outraged! I read in in an internet cafe in Bangkok, my friend was emailing me from Cambodia (where she had met him and when he said that we had dated she was like "Wow, really? She NEVER said anything about that to me" so emailed me and was like "Do you know this guy Alex claims you guys dated and blah blah blah") and I literally wanted to shake the computer with horror! I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, he is spreading this lie worldwide! He probably photoshopped me into pictures together". Unfortunately for me, I have ugly nerdy guy stalker appeal. I will probably get stabbed to death by one of them one day.

The truth is, boys talk just as much, if not more, as girls do. This has happened to me a couple of times. its a shitty position to be in, but there's not much you can do except shrug it off.

I would go "He wishes! Maybe would could have got round to it if he could have kept it up!"

Just laugh it off as a drunk night that you had forgotten about. If they are still talking about what happened months ago it says more about them.
