The only reason you want to do it is because you feel like he understands you. Of course he does! He is a trained professional who has been through years of education to understand people like you. He has learned to make people feel comfortable and feel like he understands them. THAT IS HIS JOB.
However, if he is encouraging you to be intimate with him that is a total breach of trust or confidence. That aspect holds grounds for a law suit on so many levels, including breach of contract (because doctors, by law, are not supposed to have intimate relationships with their patients).
