Recently my boyfriend has been having alot of problems with money. He's spent all his student overdraft and hasn't paid his rent for two months because he hasn't had the money to.
He wants to leave university but the student loans people won't pay his fee's so that means he might have to pay them himself. That will leave him with about £4000 to pay out and he still doesn't have enough money to pay his rent.

He suffers from mild depression but recently it's been getting worse. He got in from work last night and lay on the bed and said he just wanted to go away and started talking crazy talk.

He won't accept medical help cause he thinks he doesn't deserve it. This morning when I got up I found loads of drawings beside the computer on different methods of suicide hidden between post-its.

I am flying home to see my parents next weekend and I don't want to leave him. I don't know what to do.

If he was seriously considering it he would of probably of done it rather than drawn it.
Just remind him that it isnt the end of the world and things CAN get sorted out over time. Has he got a job? weekends, nights? etc

Can't you take him with you? Can you ask any of your friends to maybe keep an eye on him or maybe just invite him out while you're away?

Thanks aaron he only gets paid like £80 a week as well. He hasnt gotten out of bed at all today. He's just laid behind me facing the wall I don't even think he's asleep just think he's lying there

How about contacting a help-line/site specified on such cases that can give you the best advice on how to handle the situation ?

Student loads are bitches, they make them seem so great when you go to college/uni but in the long run its alot of money to pay back at once. Do you live with him in the same flat?
Maybe he should go speak to someone about his financial situation?
