I forget where I heard it, but someone once said that you can't truly love someone else if you don't love yourself. I've been wondering about other peoples opinions on this, so do tell

In a way I think it's true for me, but it's more that I don't let myself love anyone because I don't love myself.

No and a tad. My good friend watches Dr. Phil and forces me to sit with her while she does so hahaha.
I think it's mostly bullshit because I can think of lots of people who hate themselves but are in love. I'm just curious to hear what others think.

I found that once you start appreciating who you are and all that cliche bullshit, you enjoy and appreciate others company a little more.

People with low self esteems are always the ones who end up in abusive fucked up relationships and stay in them... people who learn to respect themselves are less likely to put up with being treated disrespectfully
