Ok, I haven't been on many dates before, but that one was rather bad:

I sing and play guitar in a band. So there was this guy at our show (he's a drummer) and he told our guitarist after the show that he fancied me. When I heard that, I was pretty excited, cos he's quite cute & nice (the one in the background: http://www.devo.com/humanelephant/johnjan002.htm). We started emailing each other, and at some point he told me that he had a girlfriend, yet he always told me how much he'd fancy me . I thought that if he really liked me, he might split up with her etc. As my best friend's mum always says when it comes to guys my friend fancies: "He's not married yet."
So, we met, and we got on really well, were talking about lots of things, when at some point, he said something along the lines of: "Yeah, I fancy lots of girls, but I get over it pretty quickly." Very tactful
After that, he never came to see my band again (although he likes us a lot & came to a lot of shows before we had that sorta "date") and never replied to my emails. Great. WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO BOYS?? I don't understand it.

What was wrong with that one?

He has a girlfriend.

1) That he always told me that he fancied me.
2) Coming to our shows all the time.
3) Going out on a date with me and then telling me how he gets over crushes very easily.
4) Never replying to my emails afterwards and not coming to our shows anymore, despite saying how my band was the best thing he'd heard in ages.
5) Oh, and he wanted to do a video for my band and do some artwork for our album - which of course, he never did. I mean, why promise all these things and then never do them?? He could at least have told us that he didn't wanna be involved with our band anymore.

Plus, him not replying made me feel like I was totally unattractive to him or anyone else

Why?

He was obviously an asshole leading you on. There is no redeeming quality about this one guy. You need to get over it.

This boy wasn't 'weird'. He was just an asshole. I hope his girlfriend finds out and give him a much deserved slap on the face.

Great. Probably the first and last time someone fancied me, and he turns out to be a total waste of time...
