hmm i need advice from some social animals out there cos i have no social life at all. i started college last year, so i moved away from home. Also I lost someone in November of that year. So i didn't feel like going out much. I have friends in my home town but i don't get to see them much. i am down about this because i feel like i am wasting my life ! i feel like its slipping away and i am not connecting with people. I guess i am a bit of a loner, i have focused on doing well in college and not at all focused on my social life. in my head where i am right now all i can see in a few years time is me living by myself and having no one. Also i have only been in one relationship in my 23 years and that only lasted a month(so embrassing to admit!) I am really lonely and i need some advice cos i feel like i am in a rut. I know i really need to do something about this but i just don't know what.

being a stay at home mom for the last few years, I know how you feel. if it wasn't for the interweb, I think I might have lost my mind. internet friends know you're busy at times and dont get too offended if you just dont have it in ya to chat. and here on the board there's always someone around to shoot the breeze with.
I'm recently single too so i underatnd that whole thing where you want to go out but then again you dont. it's scary.

i dont either. i never go out on the weekends and its really pathetic.

all of the guys i talk to at my college always have girlfriends
even though they will text and call me whenever they want to know the homework for the class. this one guy called me yesterday after he saw me in the parking lot and honked at me but my phone was dead. thats the extent of my social life. and my sister, i hang out with her sometimes.


there's this guy in my class who got my number but i think its only because i was borrowing his book. he has a girlfriend.

hey, thanks for replying um i think i should clear things up . i am not recently single- been single for about 3 years- the shame. i meant when i lost someone last year, i meant someone died , sorry i should have made that more clearer. i am actually doing media studies and communications.

all my friends went off to uni and i got left behind, i never go out (hence my post count)
but i have recently made some new friends by going to gigs in london and although they dont live anywhere near me and i only see them at shows i feel much happier.
