after years of wishing, i FINALLY got to see the brilliant Frank Black perform live last night in Lancaster - he was incredible
what a voice
what amazing non-stop energy
so surreal after years and years of hearing his recordings to actually hear him in person
i was in the second row of a small club, just a few feet away from him

i'm still on a high

and the guy who opened for him was quite good - a singer/songwriter named Cory Branan ( www.corybranan.com i think) who made me think of a very Southern version of Billy Bragg
fantastic energy and he really connected with the audience, making a point to make eye contact with us all

i wish it were yesterday at this time so i could do it all over again

I'm so jealous because I love Frank too and I have for years. He's so amazing.
