Jane's Addiction A
Jane's Addiction best-of CD, Up From The Catacombs, has been scheduled for a September 19 release by Rhino Records.
The disc will feature 16 tracks from all five of the band's albums, though the majority are from Nothing's Shocking (1987) and Ritual De Lo Habitual (1988). "Whores" and "I Would For You" from Jane's Addiction's 1987 self-titled live disc make appearances, as do "Just Because" and "Superhero" (popularized after it became the theme song to the HBO television series Entourage) from the band's 2003 comeback album, Strays. Catacombs also includes a live version of "Jane Says" from the 1997 retrospective, Kettle Whistle.
After the band's 2003 reformation and subsequent split, the former members have moved on to form new groups.
