| | | Pete Doherty Working on Solo Record The troubled singer says he is recording a solo project for release this year, and plans to work on a second Babyshambles album.
Pete Doherty announced that he is working on a solo project, as well as a follow-up to the Babyshambles debut, 2005's Down in Albion. "There'll be a solo acoustic album released this year. It differs from Babyshambles because it will be just me," he told NME.com. The album Doherty is currently working on is called The Implant Sessions, referencing the implant the singer talked about getting to suppress his substance abuse. "I've just been talking about getting a cottage," he said. "Just a little pond and my guitar." A spokesperson for Doherty had no further information about Doherty's new projects.

| | | yeah i think he might actually deliver something on a solo record. At least i hope so, i can't really deny he's talented, but i think so far he's not really shown it with all the media he's wound himself up in. |

| | Great news! I loved his "Untitled" acoustic session (for free on www.albionarks.com, and I even prefer it to "Down in Albion" ... don't know why, it's just more pure and simple and beautiful

| | I saw him on Transmission last night. (repeat) being interviewed. I got the feeling the lovely Lauren Laverne didnt like him much. He looks sooo much better. Even compared to the Jonothan Ross interview.
I agree with gelfinggirl though.
I think he'd make a really great solo record. Im glad hes doing well for now anyways.
and thank you "Kleingeldprinzessin" for the scans! |

and thats a compliment for a junkie.
im also exited in the solo-work. im not shure if he will pull it off as he does in babyshambles but we will see what derection he turns it too. like, if he puts down the reggea stuff and so on. |

| | Pete Doherty reveals all about diaries
He tells NME they are full of 'amazing nonsense'
Pete Doherty has described his forthcoming book of dairies and notebooks as "amazing nonsense".
The star received a £150,000 publishing deal earlier this year for the collection, which will be titled 'The Books Of Albion'.
And Doherty told NME what fans can expect when it does hit the shelves.
He said: "It's amazing nonsense. The book's very personal and very open. There'll be stuff that people haven't seen before."
He added: "Very private thoughts, very private thoughts indeed. You'll have to wait and see. Raise a toast to it." http://www.nme.com/news/babyshambles/23714
