That whole linking with the government is pure balls. Ultimately its listenership, and America fucking sucks in a very general way where, forget about honest to god rock music, pop music isnt even good enough anymore to fight its way in there.

The kids that listen to radio stations are the ones riding in their cars getting their "lean on" and hooking up with people in the parking lot. And yes, they couldnt do that without the hip hop tunez bustin' their ear drums on 1000000 inch sub woofers in the trunk. Oh and they cant afford C.D.s, cause the dough went on the skunk.....you feelin' me HOME-BOYZZZZZZ?!??!!?!?!??!?

It's got nothing to do with conspiracy... the truth is no one gives a flying fuck about what's on the radio not even the people who listen to it. People don't want to hear the new Madonna stuff at all. She gets plenty of airplay at the mall and her old stuff gets plenty of airplay on easy listening stations.
Personally I'm fine with not a lot of disco pop making the radio. You have to be in the right mood to hear it or else it's irritating as hell.
