Britfags: I need your music HALP! Mobytards like to talk, maybe they can make themselves useful here and help a gal out:
I already spilled guts on this in previous posts.
The story made short; I am doing orientation at a radio station on Monday. I will be helping out with on air announcer position, but I will also be drawing up a proposal for my own show, which they are looking for people to submit to with show ideas. This is a college alt. crowd by the way, with a big focus on local Pacific NW music, but they have segments of just the most random ****, like techno hour or international rockabilly (as they suggested).
They are taking all ideas and I'll need to submit sample playlist.
The theme is ANY act from the UK and Eire, (Britain & Ireland). So I'm trying to compile lists of Decades, genres and also new releases and who from the Isles is coming to play in town. I'm having toruble trying to "fill out suitably" some sort of navigable "list" that I could draw from on a weekly basis should it go ahead.
Anyone want to suggest a site/book which has nothing but artists from the UK? Can anyone help me with a genre they are TOTALLY nerdy on?
If all else fails, can you give me your favorite or just good stuff from the isles.
