My Review of Summerland Concert

last night, at the Greek theater, me & my g/f went. the line up:

Marcy's Playground (maybe the worst band we ever heard, so we went up the back trail so we didn't have to hear their set, it was painful to hear.)

Lit
Everclear
Gin Blossoms
Sugar Ray

me & my friend Tiara gave each band a chance. her taste in music is more goth than mine. David Bowie is her fave musician. she, too, said it was the worst show she'd ever heard.

we didn't have tickets (i'd much rather hear the music from elsewhere in the park, as i hate being squished in with people i don't know, & their hard metal seats are so unfomfortable. plus - no leaving & getting back in!)
& you can see the large screens from outside the venue.

i like to leave, smoke some weed, & come back. also, i'd be SO upset if i paid, cos the bands were so awful.

i'd never seen any of them before, but have seen them advertized a lot, for years.

i was tripping balls on shrooms, Tiara wasn't. she had weed & a valium. we stayed until almost the end of last band & it was the worst concert i can remember.

we walked up to the observatory, though. saw the sunset, had fun anyway.

The other three bands can die in a hotel fire, but Gin Blossoms really did have a couple of bomb *** tunes in the 90's.

i don't think it's worth going through the trouble of paying $20 for parking, being searched, having all drinks & food confiscated. (the Greek sells water for around $5 a bottle. & food is expensive.)

btw, the audiance was the least good looking of all shows i've seen there. definitely not "my people". weird vibes.

& i wasn't that high, only for a couple of hours. you'd think shrooms would make the music better.

Wow. I didn't expect this to be very good, but I certainly didn't expect to hear that it was THAT bad. Thanks for letting everyone know, at least. I considered going for a bit of a laugh and because I was in the exactly right demographic of young men with daddy issues to like Everclear's first two albums well enough, so I could enjoy some of their hits.

What a disappointment. I hope your concert tonight is a lot better.

That sounds like a horrid collection of music, lol my gawsh!
If I did shrooms at that I'd most definitely end up running and crying to anywhere.

But I remember having a crush in the guy from Lit in that Pam Anderson video
