| | Sleepy Jackson Personality one was a spider, one was a bird.
who loves it? I do. I'm not sure its as good as Lovers, but what could be. I saw them the other night and my love has been confirmed like crazy. I only listened to the whole cd tonight and watched dvd doco included, it's really a great cd. I wonder what the next single will be? |

| | I LOVE this cd! I have a 75kg crush on Luke
I was thinking maybe, "I understand what you want but I just don't agree" as their next single. I think that Personality will surpass Lovers greatness in time. Personality is more finished. Lovers was brillant but Personality is something else.
I got the cd early the first morning it came out and listened to it on the way home and just fell in love with them all over again! The documentry wasn't thatttt great though. |

| | | I told my boyfriend as we were leaving the sleepy jackson gig that i was leaving him for Luke. oh yes. I think you could be right about it surpassing Lovers, Its so full. I love the background melodies to death. I enjoyed the personality plus bonus, I liked seeing the little snippets of the making of the cover art. I wonder if they will announce full tour dates soon, have they already? I tell you I am so annoyed with my self cause when I saw them last week, I got the venue really early and I was outside having a drink and i could hear all this weird music and chipmunk styled goings on and it went for ages and my friends and i decided to go inside and check it out and turned out to be Luke performing as Luke Blond all dressed up in the blond outfit doing crazy stage antics (he scared me in a good way) so im bummed that i didnt see it all. |

| | | i used to love them so, so much. i think something changed though, my interest in the new album is average at best, and i now find the tripped-out clothes and makeup tiring [two years ago i was applauding how innovative and original it all was]. this being said, i have heard the single and love it to bits.
i will always respect luke for the fact that he believed he was bigger than the close-knit little perth music community and he went and made things happen. his aspirations were and are admirable, even if they do often border on being completely egotistical. |

| | | everything you said is agreeable but its just so amazing how much he believed in his talent. why shouldnt he want perfection for his music. when he is dead i guess he wants amazing music to be remembered by not some two bit lame pop record. he is so fucking smart and he is going to be considered such a genious one day. |

I completly agree with your last comment, the perth music communit is/has been a little bit stiffeling in regards to the style of music that goes over. I think they are far and above egotism they are solidly there, but I think some people can pull that off, where as others can't. I can handle it from them. |

| | | I remember the first time I saw these guys. Luke was off his tits and screaming into the microphone so loud that it distorted and then pretty much played the same three chords for the entire set. Then he trashed Jebediah's gear.
When I heard the new single I was gobsmacked cuz I thought the last album was mediocre... but I like what JJJ is playing off the new one. |

| | | I loved seeing them before they were famous. He was brillant then and he is brillant now. The new cd is art.
Lyrically it spills cupcake mixture all over 'lovers'. When you listen to the cd its like you standing on one of those rides at the circus the ponys going around on a merry go round thingee with wacky mirrors and crazy colours. |
