I've ordered a few of these but would like My Brightest Diamond: All Things Will Unwind and Surfer Blood: Tarot Classics.

Damn you October for being a busy gaming/music month.

There's not enough William Shatner in the world... apparently...

I would like to recommend a duo that me and noggin got the pleasure of seeing when they supported AFP recently. They are an unsigned, unmanaged and unfunded act and have released their single "Trust" this week with hopes of being the first act like that to break into the UK charts. Oh yeah, they've also been getting a lot of twitter support from Stephen Fry recently!
They are called Bitter Ruin and are quite hard to describe musically
Quote:
Bitter Ruin have been described by others as Noir, Indie, Rock, Punk, Cabaret, Folk, Soul, Musical Theatre, Flamenco, Classical and so many more sub genres. Therefore, the best thing to do is listen and make up your own mind. “We don’t mind what people want to call us, as long as they GET IT”. The vocals and harmonies are often described as ‘utterly amazing’ and the music itself comes recommended by musicians worldwide. “Holy ****, that girl can sing” (Amanda Palmer) “You two are AH-mazing” (Tim Minchin)
So yeah, here's their single Trust (which is available now on itunes and amazon )
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

I need to start getting into new music again. I'm so bad. Even if I start by getting into new music by old people. It's a first step.

I'm only interested in Joe and Coldplay because of the titles. Not the music. But still. There's basically nobody on this list who jumped out at me.
