First of all, it's sonically beautiful.
Second of all, at the surface, it sounds angsty and cliche, but if you dig a little deeper, Jesus Christ is this song meaningful. I've ****ing known people like this. I'm related to people like this. I've ****ed people like this. I've been people like this during certain segments of my existence. I still draw a weird optimism from hearing this song as a cautionary tale, rather than something to beat off to 90's nostalgia over and wallow in, bud christ, this song hit me hard recently.
