do you ever include just random songs or do you need the entire album? i have included random songs in the past but it makes me feel anxious. like i just bought shoes from tj maxx

what about the artwork? do you have to have the artwork? i do, but i'm trying to get over this. again, without the artwork i feel like i'm drinking folgers

do you organize them into playlists? no i hate playlists

do you ever stop worrying about new music? no. i did for a while. for a good few years and then this past year i've become obsessed again. i rely on local hipsters and pitchfork to steer me towards what i like.

would you be embarrassed if someone looked at what's on your ipod? i have been in the past (cher's heart of stone and charly mcclaine's greatest hits)

do you put artists on there simply because you're a fan even though might not listen to them anymore? i do but i should stop. i'm over crystal castles but i'm afraid to get caught not having it on there. god forbid somebody think i don't know who they are. i have this issue w/ a lot of bands that have come and gone

should your music collection should represent your overall taste in music, spanning all genres, or only what you're currently listening to? i'm too neurotic to worry about anything other than current interests. although, ideally, i would own every piece of music i've ever listened to

do you get rid of old ones when you purchase a new one? i've heard that people do this and then they transfer all their music onto the new device. i think this sucks. i want to keep them all forever and ever.

I noticed I become impatient with music i control

like if it's my own playlist i will skip songs half way through?

i only like playlists i've made after i forget what's in them

On the other hand i'll happily listen to another person's selections with only the odd "oh put on _______ ".

i don't put on all my music as my 32 gig ipod can't fit it all on at 320 which is the minimum i can cope with (i hate how ****ty and crunchy cymbals sound at 128 k)

Whatever was on the putter just went on there when I connected the thing to it.

Sometimes there's artwork sometimes not.

Some of it is music downloaded from lime wire in the days of free music for the people.

Some of it is things I downloaded from kitty radio.

Some of it just mysteriously appeared and no household member will claim responsibility. Maybee the neighborhood kid who wanted to intercourse my daughter put it on there.

Some of it is music mikeysybs mailed to me after my **** got erased from my putter crashing like the second time and I valued it so highly that I saved it carefully, unlike most of my **** which I mishandle and **** up till it's unusable. Including many many practically irreplaceable hole boots. Which I actually do really value.

I just let it go and whatever happens happens and if I don't want to hear it I skip till there's something thAt appeals to me at that moment.

Sometimes I make my bf's friends listen to hole in my older model luxury mobile because they really need to near my smoldering feminist rage whether they want to or not.
