Trent Reznor: 'Nine Inch Nails is not dead'

Frontman reveals he's 'about to work on some material very soon'

Trent Reznor has announced that Nine Inch Nails are "not dead" - despite having seemingly played their last ever show in 2009.

Talking to fans on Facebook, the frontman gave an update on the current situation of the band.

"NIN is not dead," Reznor explained. "I am about to work on some material that I believe will be quite different than previous NIN very soon."

Meanwhile, Reznor is set to release a six-song EP with his wife Mariqueen Maandig, under the name, How To Destroy Angels.

Yeah, I thought he originally just said they would stop touring, but that he would still make music under that name...

Their live shows were the only reason NIN remained somewhat relevant over the last decade.

If they aren't doing that anymore, then yes, NIN is dead regardless of what that jackass says

And all NIN albums are fairly distinct from each other so who cares if the new one is different from all the rest? It will still suck as much as the last three.

I'm not counting that instrumental garbage or the freebie throwaway, but obviously those aren't good either.

I almost wish I still cared about trent or nin, but I still favor them in the beginning...to think they mattered so much to me and my relationship and my epic little failure of a teenage life.
the lyrics used to mean something but now it's like "really? still whining? alright then."
meh.
