have heard the album in its entirety for about the 4th time around and am very glad to say that Im very happy with the album.
Have to disagree about the album's sequencing. I think its pretty on point (defintely better to have Letter to God as track 8, instead of switching with track 6-Someone Else's Bed)...
In many ways it feels kinda "not new" to me cause of the demos (which are like 2 years old), plus I've been on top of the project like a dark cloud since day 1 (like most of us).
However, its pretty obvious that Loser Dust is the weakest song in the album, but its not a complete disaster (she actually made it better than the demo); the song also has that cohesive theme of drugs for the album which fits right in (considering that its right before Dirty Girls-concept wise).
Also, not the biggest fan of Letter to God but it needed to be in the album- its the "arena rock"song, i guess, and its by Perry, so, there you go (
Courtney kinda owed it to her)...
But all in all, I can say with confidence that its a very good album (definitely deserving of the 3 1/2 stars)...
Im happy about it
PS- Someone Else's Bed NEEDS to be the next single...(with major push from mercury, of course)
