Bjork has written a song for the forthcoming movie adaptation of cult children's show 'The Moomins'.
Bjork has led a varied career. At first a visual artist the singer soon found her true calling lay in music. A few cult solo releases in Iceland preceded the formation of The Sugarcubes, who became one of the first groups from Scandinavia to be taken seriously in Britain and the United States.

Bjork has released some of the most inventive music ever to make the charts in Britain. Scoring a bona fide hit with the single 'It's Oh So Quiet' the singer has in the main stuck to left field releases, challenging perceptions of what is possible in pop music.
Now the singer is due to take part in one of her most unusual projects to date.
Bjork is a huge fan of cult television show 'The Moomins' and the songwriter is due to work on the soundtrack of a forthcoming film adaptation.
Bjork has written the song 'The Comet Song' with author and frequent collaborator Sjón for the movie 'Moomins And The Comet Chase'.
Due for release next summer, the film is based on the famous television series crafted by Finnish illustrator Tove Jansson. The strange yet gentle creatures became a massive hit in Britain during the 1980s and remain a perennial classic across Europe.
Bjork herself is a huge fan of the show, and can often be seen wearing t-shirts and neckties containing designs from 'The Moomins'.
Meanwhile, the long wait for a new album goes on for fans.
Bjork last released a full length record in 2007 with the spectacular 'Volta' set.
'Moomins And The Comet Chase' is due for release next summer.
