Robbie Williams has vowed to play a free gig in Ireland after a stunt backfired onstage on the opening night of his European tour.
The singer was supposed to drop almost 100ft in a gondola during 'Let Me Entertain You' near the close of the Dublin Croke Park show last night (June 9), reports The Sun.
But a technical glitch left the singer suspended above the stage after it failed to descend.
The singer later announced to the audience: "I can let you into a little secret. When I was up there I was supposed to come down in a gondola and it was going to be entertainment at its highest peak.
"But when the man standing behind you says, 'It's fucked' in front of 70,000 people, you panic. You'll never know how much panic went through my mind when I was up there. You've been much better than me. I've not been very good tonight so I will come back and do it for free." Robbie will continue his Close Encounters tour in Europe before returning to the UK in September for two dates at Leeds Roundhay Park and five concerts at Milton Keynes Bowl.

And i LOVE Guns.But i don't really give a hotfuck who was better,I had a motherfucking blast! It was James Hetfields daughter's birthday and he had her out on stage.I wish my dad was that awesome. Jerry Cantrell sang on 'Nothing Else Matters' which was also nice. All in all though,we had a great weekend but Metallica were better than Guns. and Axl wasnt wearing any basketball jersey but still has those fucking dreads. I think so anyway,we were just jumping around and singing and trying to get drink and smokes so i didnt really notice.  |

i've seen g n'r live and it's two hours of my life i will never get back. i've also seen robbie live and even though he is a total twat, he entertains.

No one that I know listens to his stuff at all and I'm completely unfamiliar with him. I always find myself scratching my head and trying to remember just who he is when I read threads about him on KR. |

the dvd doesnt really do the show justice, it is such a freaky experience hearing 125.000 people sing along to angels.
what wasnt good was kelly o and the darkness opening, yuck yuck yuck!
i really dont understand why he hasnt made it big in the us  |
