I returned from a concert and one of the opening bands was a dj duo. I have to say it was one of the most pathetic things I've witnessed. It was like two guys jacking off. It was so fucking awkward. They were both doing their thing and looking at the other and nodding like "yeah this is great" and the audience was totally bored. It reminded me a bit of Peep Show.

And by about the fifteen minute mark I began to actually get angry about how much they sucked. The whole energy level in the room was palpably lower. I may have just invented that word? Palpably? It looks odd.

I saw DJ Kid Koala once and he was really good, so it can't be that I just totally don't like djs. But I mean, the whole concept strikes me as odd. Watch me spin sounds and love me. Are there good djs worth seeing live? And couldn't these guys see beyond one anothers dicks to know the gig was not going well? It would have been better for them to leave the stage and just let the bar play random tunes until the next band ( who were also terrible) played?

yeah there is a lot of shit

and they arent even doing it proper with vinyl and stuff (i am not very technical but i hate it when a dj just uses computers and machines)

but there are some good dj's worth seeing live, the ones who get a beat and take it to the top (?) and tease the crowd for what feels like a lifetime (?)then drop it WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO its actually quite hard to explain in words what a good dj does

it depends what music you like though?

I just do not like seeing djs play live. I went to see girl talk live and the atmosphere there was pretty amazing and everyone was really excited about it and I just thought that it was ridiculous.

When I saw "jizz" I thought you'd been spending the night with some guys that were whacking off.

I must learn not to skim read titles.
