Thought this article was inspiring and read like a screen play.
Guess she replaced Janis after she formed her own band after Holding Company cause she didnt make it time for the first go around.
Also like her Ikette smoke and mirror thing.
Also sang back up on mulitudes of albums incudsing some that will go down in rock history.
I think she is bookworthy. She would have made a better Janis.

Her voice is similar to Janis Joplin's...but it just doesn't have that special something to her vocals that Janis has.
It's really hard to compete with Janis though...I don't think I've heard anyone quite come close to that particular amazing voice.

Nobody could compete with Janis. That voice, presence and energy. Janis Joplin is iconic for a reason, nobody else could do what she did.
