The Raveonettes reveal new album plans

The Raveonettes, 2005
Danish duo move in a poppier direction on new record

The Raveonettes have announced details for their new album 'In And Out Of Control'.

The band say the album, which was written and recorded in a three-month period in Denmark with DFA and Junior Senior producer Thomas Troelson, sees them move in a poppier direction. It's out on October 5.

"We spent two years coming up with the sound and songs for [2007 album] 'Lust Lust Lust' which was recorded in my apartment in New York City and was the darkest record we ever made," the band's Sune Rose Wagner said in a statement. "We always hated repeating ourselves, so we set the bar really high for 'In And Out Of Control'."

The tracklisting for 'In And Out Of Control' is:

'Bang!'
'Gone Forever'
'Last Dance'
'Boys Who Rape (Should Be Destroyed)'
'Heart Of Stone'
'Oh, I Buried You Today'
'Suicide'
'D.R.U.G.S.'
'Breaking Into Cars'
'Break Up Girls!'
'Wine'

are they very good live? i'm a fan of them from awhile back, but it doesn't seem like they'd be all that exciting live.???

I seen them live awhile ago... like 2004-2005. They had another guitar player, a drummer and Sharin still played bass. They were really good... Sounded just like the record. Sharin and Sune were boring but the other guitar player was great to watch. I was a very big fan back then and watched them 3 nights in a row... which was dumb because they played the same set every night. I got to meet everyone in the band, they were all super nice. They are playing a show in Newport, Ky in October and I'm thinking about going... even though what I have heard from the new record I think is terrible.

i loved them when i saw them in LA on the Lust Lust Lust Tour. It was just the two of them playing guitar with a live drummer! the live drummer was a hot lesbo and she played standing up and ruled. the show was great.
