| | | Remember When Nu-Metal Was The Future? Maybe it was MTV, but I recall that one point a few years ago (maybe more?) there was a huge hype about this new hybrid of music that was going to revolutionize genres. Most of it was crap, though I do admit nodding along to some KoRn in my time.
Still. How times change. |

| | | It was never going to last, thank fuck. I remember hating it, but being fairly certain that at least it was a horror trend I could just ride out.
Any genre where Korn are considered innovators and trend-setters will surely enjoy a fairly swift decline into laughing stock status, no? |

We're going to be so pitied by school children in years to come. |

We're going to be so pitied by school children in years to come. | I'm going to have to agree with you on that one. I remember at the time feeling terribly nostalgic for the '90s.
For me, nu-metal=horrible flashbacks to age 15 or so when everyone was listening to Linkin Park and I was listening to the Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and Nirvana, and therefore thought of as a total freak. I gave nu-metal a try but you could tell even then that it wasn't going to last. |

i liked and do like a lot of bands that people label 'nu-metal' or whatever. |
