Music for walking around to:

What's good music to have on when you've got a lot of walking to do and want to soundtrack the experience? I keep listening to The Necks and Miles Davis while walking home at 3am, and it just gives me the creeps.

I found I like In Rainbows a lot more since listening to it on the move. Didn't much care for it before.

A lot of the stuff I normally like either doesn't suit headphones, or doesn't suit walking around. Classical obviously sounds dreadful with cars and people going past in the background, and when I tried listening to Pavement it just made me angry. And then there's stuff where you can't help but strut, like LCD Soundsystem or that last Squarepusher record, and I don't want to do that because I look quite beat-uppable.

The Necks is great at night, but it's creepy as fuck.

sympathy for the strawberry by sonic youth
cool by pylon
london calling by the clash

all cos they have a good beat that you can pace yourself to. i only have three suggestions because i pretty much just listen to sympathy for the strawberry on repeat lol. it's just the best song ever, to me anyway. there are a few others by sonic youth that have a good beat for walking to. but i don't know if you listen to them.
