Jack Off Jill/Scarling thread.

Because I love them both, and think Jessicka is amazing. And beautiful.

All WMA files.

And I found this pre-scarling interview. http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip...8/seconds.html

I think So Long Scarecrow fits the mould of a classic album. And they're so good live.

So yeah, come and talk about JOJ/Scarling/Jessicka, etc.

haven't heard JOJ but fell in love with scarling's so long scarecrow. they remind me of mbv and curve. those guitars are so heavy.

Thank you very much for the Jessicka interview, very interesting reading, but I have to admit I'll probably never understand why journalists are so obsessed with talking about rock musicians' sexuality. I don't mean to be prudish, but I don't think it is the first thing one could link to an artist's lyrics and works, and I have always enjoyed reading interviews focusing on the artist within the person better than the reverse.
Anyway, I virtually know someone else who has seen Scarling. live lately, and met the band. Jealousy would be pretty forgivable here indeed.
Oh, and I was wondering if someone could help me concerning Jack Off Jill's Humid Teenage Mediocrity, I have seen two different artworks for this release as browsing the google image archives, so was it released twice or has there been any kind of special / limited edition ?

There was a version released last month with a few extra songs.
The one with this cover.

Oh, and I've 'met' scarling, bar Jessicka. Rickey Lime hugged me.

Thank you, I didn't know the tracklisting was different.
In case people wouldn't have checked this website out before, jessicka.com is a good place to see and read about the singer.

Jessika is sweet and pretty charming but she would hate that both bands are tied together ( even though I know and you know they just are.)

Yeah. I love both bands, but Scarling's music is much more mature.

But JOJ have moments of brilliance. Vivica, Love Song and Underjoyed are great by any standard.

Thanks for the link, the interview was so vintage.

I hart Scarling so much! I like JOJ, and was all hardcore crazy for it, and liked similiar music. After Scarling came out my tastes began to mature. JOJ was cute and crazy pretty, but Scarling is just more settle and tasteful. I wouldn't classify any JOJ cds as classics, but "So Long, Scarecrow" is one of my all time favourites

Yeah, I was obsessed w/ JOJ during my goff phase lol. I still love them, but Scarling is so much better. I thought Sweetheart Dealer was awesome, but oh when those Hello London guitars washed over me for the first time, I knew Scarling was something special.

I sort of like Jack off Jill, but not as much as I used to (I'm not THAT gawthik anymore). I've never heard any Scarling, but now maybe I will D/L some shit later. Also, Jessicka pisses me off a lot for some reason. Not just because I hate fat goff "loli" whores, it's something else.

Yeah, that's it, personally, I have always prefered Sweetheart Dealer to any other record on which Jessicka would sing.

My fave Scarling songs are "Like A Killer" & "Manorexic" & "Band Aid Covers The BulletHole"

Sometimes I think Jessicka is a poser, like eating jellybeans from her underwear while on her periods..hmm, thats just stuupid. Lyrically though, she is a somewhat subjective genious..
