i've only listened to one track so far but i've listened to it more than ten times already. "blue lips" is sublime. i think i'll delve into this album that way. listen to each track several times.

Most of the songs on Far date from six years ago. Nothing wrong with not wanting to "waste" your old songs, but does anyone know the deal? Is she suffering from writer's block?

I don't think so. I think they are songs she had demoed, and she still loved them and had the opportunity to record them the way she wanted them to sound, so she did. She's got an extensive song collection, so I imagine it must be hard for her to pick 12-13 of them.
