i also remember i used to listen to bif naked, and her first album had some seemingly really personal song called "letter to my rapist" that i always made a point of skipping (because it sucked). for a while i felt kind of bad about that

years later i found out it was actually a single, and there was a video. hahaha.

remember the film by the art teacher in the ghost world movie? that's seriously what this video was like, only it was made a bunch of years earlier and quite in earnest.

I once wrote a song with a similar title but it was meant to be sarcastic.

I usually listen to any album I buy all the way through at least three or four times. Usually even a few times more than that. Not necessarily right away, but within the first couple weeks. Then I start skipping and shuffling.

For individual song downloads, obviously I don't listen to the whole album.

since the point my mp3 collection overtook my cd my playlists have been on permanent shuffle. it doesnt do me much good as i forget which tracks are by which artists from which albums. but variety is the spice of life and all. the only time i hear full albums would be if i chuck a bunch of cds in a car for long journeys.
