or personal events such as discovering a new band for onesself or rediscovering old favourites?

+ being at vfest when noel gallagher of oasis was attacked onstage
+ nine inch nails - lighhts in the sky tour...fucking brilliant...saw it twice and loved it both times
+ getting tickets to sigur ros after the show sold out
+ the cure 4tour - three hours of pure bliss
+ britney (gotta love the lil' train wreck and the record ain't bad)

- missing spiritualized and mgmt at vfest
- amy winehouse
- mia gig at the sound academy - it sucked big time
- courtney love
- missing my bloody valentine again!!!

+ going to my first big festivals, glastonbury and bestival
+ seeing leonard cohen under the pink glastonbury sky at sunset
+ seeing hot chip twice, at glastonbury with wiley was awesome
+ vampire weekend's album, so many happy things associated with it
+ having a chat with mr jeff lewis at a gig he played with the wave pictures
+ dans le sac vs scroobius pip live
+ just managing to get into a tiny sold out fleet foxes gig that has gone down in local legend
+ doing some good music writing

- seeing amy winehouse live, which spoilt her records for me a little bit. she really was as erratic as you expect her to be, but with sparks of brilliance that just made the rest of the show even more sad

can't really think of any more negatives. i tend to block out bad things associated with music.

i am so glad i got to see her at a tiny club prior to her becoming the mess that she is. the show was brilliant.
