Listening to the opening act seems more like a favor than anything else.
What is the worst opening performance you have ever watched?


Mine was at a Sonic Youth gig, earlier this year. There were three openers, but the worst must have been Wolf Eyes.
I have heard people call Sonic Youth "just noise", but these guys are literally JUST NOISE. The set consisted of a man on drums, and another one playing...the stick. How the fuck do you play the stick? I don't know how it's possible, but that guy managed. Oh yeah, he also took a saxophone out in order to play ONE note, very poorly.

Just recently saw the lead singer of Titus Andronicus open for Ted Leo in Brooklyn. The guy's band sucks, and he's not much better by himself. He sings with this strained goat's bleat that sounds like a bad Conor Oberst imitation, and his solo performances of his band's songs bring his lyrics to the listener's attention, which is not a good thing at all.

That being said, he did a nice version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town"

Weren't they at Yo La Tengo? They really ruined the last McCarren Park show.

They were okay compared to Ebony Bones...ugh...
