do singers/bands comeback plans ever work? i've been trying to think of someone who had an ... arid period ... for a decade or so (eg, ), & whose effort to make a comeback actually worked.

the only band i can really think of is Take That

i don't mean there was hype about the person/persons making a comeback so loads of people bought the record they released, then the novelty wore off again.

who am i forgetting?

I actually thought the Pixies comeback worked. They seemed so bemused that anyone wanted to see them! Did they do it for the money? Damn straight. But i loved seeing them as i never got to first time round. Sold out shows, brilliant festival sets with everyone singing along, fucking ace

jane's addiction have tried a few times and failed on most accounts. too bad as back in the day, they were amazing.

the pixies reunion was great but there was no new music, so it was just a trip down memory lane.

bauhaus was a bore, both times the reunited and the record was shite. they should have left the vampires in the coffin.

sex pistols have gotten back together for a few tours and i was lucky enough to see the first reunion tour and loved it. now they are talking about new music, which scares me.
