holy fuck. reading that made my stomach turn over. it's still going to be difficult to imagine he's dead, but...i don't know. i think the only real closure if i was his family would be to have remains of his body identified. i still like to think he's out there somewhere, but at least now his money won't be going to waste in a bank account. maybe they'll stick some into a mental health charity.

I think maybe. When it got to the seven year mark, I remember thinking they'd declare him dead and then he'd waltz back in with a great story (probably entirely made up) to tell.

It's kind of what I'd like to do. Go missing and be declared dead, then return, from "beyond the grave". Not for the money, just for the craic.

I'm not going to do any of that RIP stuff because it makes me feel a it uneasy. I still hope he did something that made him happy, and maybe one day his family and friends will get some actual confirmation one way or another.
