i don't know how i came to think i was a fan. her new album is terrible. these songs are all bland as hell. her voice gets annoying quick and her lyrics aren't that good either. a lot are actually quite mindless.

so i went back and listened to a few of her other albums, and they aren't that great either. for every good song, she seems to have four that are just okay.
what the **** does alt-country mean anyway? that it's not faith hill but still sucks?

if rehab demo courtney wrote some of this ****, she'd get her *** kicked ever worse than she did.

was she any better before she became disgusting overrated with CWoaGR? what are some good songs previous to that album, i'll look them up.

maybe she's just a victim of too much praise.

that and she fell in love with the "right" man. you know what happens when loves cancels out anger -- see Tori Amos "The Beekeeper".

Although I consider Lucinda one of my favorite artist I'd concede that she has a few stinker albums. West was awful but had a few great songs (namely Everything Has Changed). I also find parts of Essence and Sweet Old World pretty meh.

Her self titled record, Car Wheels on a Gravel Road and World Without Tears are brilliant from beginning to end.

Little Honey is better than West but most of the good songs are really old. Circles and X's, If Wishes Were Horses, Tears of Joy and Knowing are pretty good with Horses being amazing.

I've been seeing ads. for this album in every magazine that I pick up. And now to see it on KR. Weird.

my parents saw her in concert this summer and they both said it was one of the most amazing performances they've ever seen. my mom sounded like a teenager as she recounted the evening. i should have her join KR and discuss. are there any KR members moms posting on here? oh my god, she would die if she read some of my posts. stay out of 18+ mom.
