p.p.s. okay, scissor sisters might cheer the kids up too!
MIGHT I JUST SAY Marianne Faithful's 'Broken English' is like one of the most overrated of your icon 70s/early 80s whatever period it was. i swear people buy this only becuase they want to own the cover because it's cool. it only like has 2 damn songs on it that r worth listening, it's only 8 tracks right? and make that 7 if you count the fact that bloody working class hero is a lazy arsed beatles cover, like an absolute filler. witches song is nuttingly drop dead boring, - yet another case of 'pretty packaged', this time by name.. you know: "oh god, this should be fun!! -a song about witches!!!! i *cant wait* 2 get this home & play it!!!!!!". compare this short album next to madonna's 1st album (self titled) & see just the difference in effort & quality. it really shows this album (broken english) for how shud cruddy workmanship this record is.** - 2 stars (David). - "Noooo! I completely disagree, DAVID!!!!!" - 5 stars (Margeret).
