Member Giveaway: Lou Reed's Berlin Dvd

I was able to snag a few copies of the Lou Reed Berlin dvd and I would like to share the wealth with you guys. Just post to enter to win, but the winner must live in the U.S. (sorry).
--------------------------------------------------------------

Directed By Academy Award® Nominee Julian Schnabel,
Extraordinary Live Performance Of Acclaimed Rock Opera Debuts On DVD From The Weinstein Company and Genius Products

SANTA MONICA, CA – The historic 1973 concert album “Berlin” is brought to the stage for the first time when LOU REED’S BERLIN arrives on DVD September 30th from
Genius Products and The Weinstein Company as part of The Miriam Collection. Former lead singer and songwriter for the innovative group The Velvet Underground, Reed revisits his solo venture “Berlin,” a tragic rock opera about a doomed couple.

A surprising follow-up to his previous, more upbeat album, “Berlin” is riddled with themes of drug use and depression, punctuated by heavy orchestral arrangements and is considered Reed’s greatest solo achievement. Directed by Academy Award® nominee* Julian Schnabel (The Diving Bell and the Butterfly), LOU REED’S BERLIN was filmed in December 2006 at St. Ann's Warehouse in Brooklyn, New York and features the legendary singer performing his controversial narrative album live with the divided city of Berlin as the concert’s backdrop. Accompanied by a seven-piece orchestra and featuring performances by guitarist Steve Hunter, who plays on the original album and the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, Reed takes the audience into a captivating and enveloping world that is both devastating and beautiful.

LOU REED’S BERLIN DVD will include a Q&A with director Julian Schnabel and will be available for the suggested retail price of $22.95.

Synopsis

The story of Jim and Caroline, a drug-addicted couple, is told through the emotive and provocative words and music of Lou Reed. Including performances by Fernando Saunders, Antony Hegarty, Steve Hunter, Rob Wassermann, Rupert Christie and Sharon Jones, Reed captivates his audience as he bares witness to the couples’ self-destruction. The live staging contains music-video-like film clips projected behind the band and sometimes cross-faded into the film itself, with material ranging from the literal to the abstract.

Bonus Materials

o An Excerpt From Spectacle: Elvis Costello With Lou Reed & Julian Schnabel
o Berlin On Tour

The fresh heartbreak was, in a sense, like being in a foreign country; everything seemed alien, brilliant and glinting. It was as if I’d been flayed, so that even the air hurt. When you’re that unhappy, any glimmer of beauty or consolation feels like running into an old friend abroad, or seeing mountaintops through smog. Maybe we mistakenly think we want “happiness,” which we tend to picture in very vague, soft-focus terms, when what we really crave is the harder-edged intensity of experience.
