i was just thinking about her, because i was watching melrose place season 5 clips on youtube. and the fags visiting brat niece is blaring music really loud so amanda comes pounding on the door and the song playing it's that get out of this house song.

sunny came home is better though. although at the time it came out, i was probably on team sunny. now i just get a kick out of works about nutty broads and their antics being passed off as inspirational freespiritedness.

actually im confused. didn't she burn down the house in the song? did i miss that verse?
im listening again. if she just fixes the house that changes everything.

i think the box of tools and most of the song is just metaphors.

I think she came back to her old town all oprah self-empowered and is ready to face her demons head on. And burn shit down. metaphorically.

i love shawn. well, not love but i think she's talented and she has more to offer than that sunny came home song although that album "A few small repairs" is her best undoubtedly and her most alt rock sounding album. she is a folk artist in the vein of suzanne vega. i think she was even a back up vocalist for vega. anyway, i think "Get out of this house" is just as good and immediate as Sunny. Anyone remember that song? i doubt it. she's so underrated.
