I loved them so much in high school. I used to have all there albums (yes those black big things)
I did meet John Doe and Exene one time on a rainy night in Seattle. They were as nice as could be. They autpgraphed my dollar bill. They said we needed hot chocolate. This was when she was pregnant and was opening for the late Warren Zevon.
Great sutff on youtube. A real good live version of Los Angeles, a cute exeprt from that great visual documentary Motel Room in My Bed.
I was surprised at how different Exene looked in the Burning House of Love video on one of there last albums. She didnt even look like Exene in the video.
There is footage of the 30 reunion concert too, My Goodness was a good song that came on a later album. Exene doesnt seem to care about how much she weighs plastic surgery etc. It doesnt bother me seeing a Anne Wilson or Mama Cass on stage. She is growing old gracefully and without all the surgeries etc. I hope we see more of them.
Also a great montage put together recently with New World song I think or Much More Fun. It shows captions of what is going on with our war now and what was happening back then. There music is just as relavant as when it first came out. All there albums had strong tracks and were a true American band. DJ Bonebrake was always so hot. Heck I would have done them all!
