X is indeed awesome...underrated and definitely hasn't gotten near recognition deserved as far as I'm concerned. My fave album is Wild Gift. I finally got to see them on their 30th anniversary tour not that long ago. I met all the original band members: Exene, John Doe, Billy Zoom, and DJ Bonebrake. They had some sound issues but otherwise a great show. Exene and John were joking saying they couldn't fly Exene from the ceiling now. DJ told me the last time they played where I am was the 80s!? Odd enough it was like I was one of the few there who knew who DJ was. He was like wow one lowly fan. he he So I'm glad I got to see them. Exene felt bad I was waiting..wasn't that long after the show. I told her it was cool no biggie. Got John Doe to sign Roadhouse and Great Balls of Fire..hence movies he was in for my fiance. He told me how Roadhouse is a cult classic now. He was like it's the shittest movie ever and I'm in it! *laughs* He was funny. Got a hug and a kiss from Billy..hear he has a thing for the ladies. he he I got all four to sign the vinyl copy of my Wild Gift album. They played all songs you would know from this band. One song in particular they hadn't played in a long time(they mentioned this before they played it) is Some Other Time..one of my fave songs.

Great show and I was honored to have gotten to see them much less meet them. Definitely an added bonus. Check out all their myspaces and/or websites as well for X as a group as well as solo projects. I accomplished one of my goals got to see and meet X.
Side note: had a couple errors posting...and i didn't give a shit if it is Karmi..I wanted to tell my X story. *laughs*
