Nirvana was my life from the time I was in preschool till I was in the 7th grade.

I still love them to death though I don't listen to themas often because I have a broad taste in music and go through too many different phases, but if they ever come on in my shuffle, I never skip it.

I called Kurt's Journals my bible in 5th grade and I'd bring it to school with me a lot...

Billy's voice just kind of ruins it for me. Some like his voice, I don't

I listen to In Utero all the fucking time. But to be honest, I love the "MTV Unplugged" performance.

Nirvana is a great band, in my opinion.

i am not saying Kurt and Nirvana were not great. And the Unplugged album is one of the greats. but, the Pumpkins just had so many levels. I don't mind Billy's voice, It works with that music. The same as Kurt's voice worked for Nirvana's sound. Now, had Kurt lived and produced more music, my opinion may have changed.

I also went through a Nirvana worship phase and I still understand the appeal. Their music sounded pure, raw, very sincere and unintellectual although the songs were actually smart and well crafted.

But yeah, I grew up and really do not relate to most lyrics anymore. They're fairly shallow and humorless.

Also, I think the Kurt/Jesus thing is complete bullshit. He was a self-absorbed dick for blowing his brains out while he had such a treasure of a daughter. How anyone cannot find the strength to live in that is beyond me... For this reason, Kurt worship bugs me to no end and I like the music less, which is a shame really.
