| | | Selected Ambient Works 85-92 if you're into that old school ambient sound. It'd probably be good to start off with that, but I think his best work is contained in the Richard D James album and Come to Daddy EP. Drukqs has some awesome piano songs on it. |

| | | come to daddy, and windowlicker (not positive, but I think this is only a single and windowlicker is not on an actual album of multiple songs, but it's a great song), Classics. |

| | | Druqks is the value for money option. However, The Richard D James Album is only half an hour long, but perfectly realised.

| | | I'm boycotting HMV. My boyfriend's niece worked there and her father went to pick her up after work one day to treat her to dinner at Wendy's but found her in the back room with the manager and another male co-worker, and they were fingering her pussy and sucking on her tits.
Even though it was consensual, she was only fifteen at the time and the guys were both in their 20's.
He complained and the companies attitude was basically boys will be boys. The police just plain didn't care.
Another time I needed to return a Yeah Yeah Yeah's album, as somebody gave it to me as a gift and I already had it.
When I told the cashier my reason for returning it, she gave me a knowing look and said "they aren't for everybody" and basically acted as though I was too timid for Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
I tried to reason with her. The fucking CD was still sealed, so it's not like I listened to it and didn't like it. To prove I liked them I sang a little bit of the song "No No No" and she still wasn't impressed. She said "well that's the most popular song, you probably heard it on the radio." Ugh, no. I don't even listen to the radio, and I'm pretty sure "Maps" is their most popular song anyway.
She gave me the refund and everything, but I could have done without the goddamn hassle and insinuations. |

They tend to put his stuff in "Dance", or very occasionally "Urban", rather than pop. God knows why, it doesn't exactly help anyone. |

| | | Ever danced to it?
It's more that I don't get why they have a "dance" and "urban" section at all, as all it means is it's harder to find what you want. | |
