is there an album that works really well and is worth listening to or is it best to stick to one of his fifty thousand hits packages?
i found a three disc best of box set for 11 bucks and figured there would be some catch. it said the recordings were actually by him, which was all i really care about as i didn't want to hear his songs done by the studio 45 singers or whatever it is. what they did was use not amazingly recorded live versions of all his biggest hits, because maybe they're cheaper to license or something.

and a lot of the studio tracks could have been filler. i've only listened to it a few times, and the stuff i'm unfamiliar with is pretty hit or miss so far. not to sound like some cheap cunt fretting over eleven bucks, because i'm happy with it, and i wasn't expecting much anyway. he talks between songs about working in oil fields in west texas and stuff. he sounded like a really cool guy, which is good because he certainly wasn't much to look at.
i found a discography with album covers, and he's either driving a car or standing by a car in at least half of them. bouffant, goonish smile and all.
i apologize for being so retarded.
