npr, really?
i thought they'd have complied a much better list that was much less mainstream (coldplay, seriously?)
and the answer to best album of the year is Josh Ritter's "The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter", i think. and that wasn't even an option.
infact, i can think of 20 albums that should have been on the list.
there are some pop and mainstream artists who deserve to get recognition for their efforts. i mean people like Celine Dion who don't write their music or really do anything but perform. then, NO. Madonna and Mariah Carey should not have been on the list. but, i do believe Coldplay has a place on the list.
Ugh, so many comments. Post it on a messageboard, Catfish. I of course have my doubts about Pretty.Odd being the best. But 3,000 people must mean something. Can't be bothered to look through all the artists, but the list is a bit random. Like 2008.
